A lovely example of mid-20th century enamelware – a pale blue jug with dark blue edging.
This jug has a wonderful glossy shine over most of its surface and a few small areas of chips to the enamel surface, commensurate for its age.
The main vessel height is 36cm (14 inches) with a 12cm (4¾inch) wide opening and pouring spout. The sides of the jug flares down to a 19cm (7½inch) diameter base.
This jug would make a beautiful display vessel for dried seasonal stems, an arrangement of fresh flowers or even as a decorative feature on its own.
